At the end of the album, he can't take all the sadness his father has brought him and from being a bastard, so he says "I'll let this bullet play hero / nah, I'm over it / bang!" This symbolizes either him killing the "bastard" side of him, so now that he's over with his father and being a bastard, it's time to move on.
